Who Should Attend?

This programme is designed for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives, who may require/or use fall arrest protection.

Aim

To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the need for safety, the legislation, and dangers associated with work that may require the need for a safety harness. To enable delegates to be competent in their selection and use of a harness should the task dictate it.

Content:

• Legislation
• Organisation and planning
• Risk assessment
• Prevention of falls
• Fall arrest systems
• Selection of correct work equipment and restraint systems to help prevent falls from height thus reducing risk to themselves and their colleagues.
• Carrying out inspections of equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose
• Confidently select and don a harness correctly.

Training Methods:

Classroom based tutorials including discussion, group exercises, supporting videos and commentary.

Practical exercises.

NPORS or “In House” Certification

Additional Information:

For employers requiring plastic cards, an additional charge of £5.00 per person will be levied. Delegates will need to provide a passport photograph at the start of the course.

NPORS Registration is at £17.50 per person.

For training held at your own location please ensure you make available a suitable room, which can comfortably accommodate with seating the number of delegates attending. We will also require a 240v power supply.
